It was founded by Terry van Dijk in 2006 / 2007, a trained legal professional with an extensive legal background in both private practice and as in-house counsel. From the start it has always been the intention to help you to know your rights, to find out legal possibilities and to make the legal profession more accessible and transparent for all New Zealanders.

 

i-Law aims to deliver the best solution to you. These solutions have their foundation in ingenuity, integrity, professionalism and openess. Your financial situation, lack of understanding or time does not have to be an issue any longer. We offer you a variety of both free and paid services. You can search legal information, documents, advice, answers and the right lawyer, barrister or solicitor all for free.

 

However, we are not practising lawyers, so we are not permitted by law to provide you with "professional legal advice" although we are allowed to provide you with some answers to your legal queries.
